Reflection Post

I have learned many things in my freshmen computer class. Online safety is one topic I have learned in this class. Some things I learned is to never give out your name, address, school, or current location to anyone you meet online. Chatrooms are the most dangerous place to talk to your frinds becuase anyone can listen and that is where most people become victims to Identity theft. In class we learned about how to avorid identity theft and how to deal with it if it happens to you. Let's admit it people are bullies online. If a bully bothers you onling tell an adult, dont respnd to the threats and block the bully. Just remeber don't be the bully.

New Technology

Byte Light!! The new GPS. Byte lights are able to identify to know where you are by a series of flashes of light(which humans can't see). The software identfies where you are by the bulb you are standing closest to. the bulbs can work through tablets, smartphones, etc.

Identity Theft

The term identity theft means is when someone attempts to become a whole new person to become you, but in there body. there are certain ways to protect yourself online. One way to is never give your name, address, phone number, crdit card numbers unless the IP address looks like https://. The S means that the site is secure.

Christmas Break

During Christmas Break, I spent time with my family and friends. every Christmas Eve I go to my grandparents house on my dad's side. I have one cousin on that side of the family, her name is Katie. As a joke to Katie we wrapped up her gift card present several times to make it the size of several shoe boxes, but made it very light. Katie really enjoyed opening it and took her a good 10 minutes to un wrap layer after layer of wrapping paper. Cristmas this year was celebrated at my house. Th emajority of my family on my mom's side was able to come. Every year we do a gift exchange with one of my mom's sisters. We all got gifts that we enjoyed/needed for feature events. some gifts that where exchanged are toaster oven, lotion, Oakland sweatshirt, I pod cases, etc. Christmas was a fun time this year. I really enjoed spending it with my family. Can;t wait for 2013 Christmas
